Ethical, student-centered care

Evaluations are always voluntary for students and their families, and our clinicians follow professional ethics, confidentiality standards, and applicable law. With appropriate consent, we communicate with school teams so that recommendations can be used effectively—without overstepping the school’s authority or decision-making processes.

A clear process for schools and families

We aim to make referrals and communication straightforward. School teams know what to expect, and families receive clear, respectful information at every step.

Step 1

Partnership conversation

We meet with school leadership or student-services teams to understand your processes, needs, and how external evaluation can complement your work.

Step 2

Referral pathways

Together, we outline when a referral for outside evaluation may be helpful and how your team can share information with families about this option.

Step 3

Evaluation & feedback

Our clinicians complete interviews, testing, and scoring, then share results and recommendations with the family—and with the school team when we have appropriate consent.

Step 4

Ongoing collaboration

We remain available for follow-up questions and, when requested, consultation about how to translate recommendations into feasible supports within your setting.

What school partners often notice

Every school is unique, and outcomes can vary, but partners frequently share that evaluations help clarify needs and guide more targeted supports for students and staff.

Clearer understanding of students

Teams gain a fuller picture of a student’s learning profile, executive function, and social-emotional needs, beyond what classroom observation alone can show.

More targeted supports

Recommendations help refine accommodations, classroom strategies, and interventions, so that limited resources are focused where they are likely to help most.

Stronger school–family collaboration

Shared language and clear explanations can help families and school teams feel more aligned as they work together to support a student’s growth, wellbeing, and long-term success.

Frequently asked questions

We’re happy to talk through questions specific to your school or program. Here are answers to a few common questions from school partners.

Our evaluations are meant to inform—not replace—your own school-based processes. We provide data and recommendations that teams may consider alongside other information. Decisions about eligibility, services, and accommodations always remain with your school or district, in accordance with your policies and applicable law.

We follow professional ethical standards and privacy laws. Families choose whether to pursue an evaluation and what information is shared. With written consent, we can share relevant findings and recommendations with designated school staff. Without consent, we only share information as permitted or required by law, such as in situations involving safety concerns.

Timelines can vary based on the type of evaluation, referral volume, and scheduling needs. During partnership planning, we provide realistic estimates for wait times, testing sessions, and report completion, so that school teams and families can plan accordingly. We also communicate clearly about any changes or delays.

When families and schools request it—and with appropriate consent—we may be able to participate in meetings or provide follow-up consultation regarding our evaluation findings. We work together to clarify roles, expectations, and the scope of our involvement in advance.
