Insurance & Billing Information

Learn how insurance works at Loudoun Psychological Services and which plans our clinicians accept.

Loudoun Psychological Services is one of the fastest growing mental health and well-being practices in Loudoun County. Our licensed clinicians accept many major health insurance plans, including Virginia Medicaid and Medicare.

As a courtesy, if you have health insurance, our team will file claims for your treatment once your coverage and benefits have been verified. Your estimated co-pays and deductibles are collected prior to service at each visit. These amounts are estimates only, as your insurance company may not provide exact details in advance. Your policy is a contract between you, your employer, and your insurance company, and we are not a party to that contract.

Regardless of what your insurance policy pays, you are responsible for any remaining balance that is not paid by your insurance after 90 days. It is important to review and understand your insurance coverage for outpatient therapy services before your first appointment.

Our intake coordinator will:

  • Review your insurance information;
  • Check your mental health benefits;
  • File insurance claims for covered services; and
  • Help schedule your first appointment.

After your initial visit, you and your provider will develop a treatment plan and schedule. In most cases, you will only be responsible for your copay at the time of service instead of paying large out-of-pocket fees and waiting for reimbursement.

If your plan is not listed above, please contact us to verify coverage. We accept most Virginia Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans. Please note that we are not accepting new clients with UnitedHealthcare/United Behavioral Health (UHC/UBH) at this time.

We also offer self-pay options and can provide a detailed superbill you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Your insurance will be verified as part of the registration process.
